PLANNED GIVING:

Legacy Gifts Through Will or Trust

To us, the word legacy expresses the passion and dedication of people who have named
SPHF in their wills or estates. This is an exceptional group of visionary friends whose
insight and support—at any giving level—will help SPHF continue our mission for
generations to come. Gifts vary in size and scope but all serve a common purpose: to realize
today the ability to positively impact the lives of women in our community and ensure the
organizations’ future success. Some of the commonly gifted assets in wills and trusts
include financial accounts and brokerage accounts. Thank you for considering directing a
legacy charitable gift through an Estate Will or Trust to SPHF. Your estate legal advisor or
executor can coordinate the contribution to SPHF.

Legacy Giving directing SPHF as a beneficiary of your IRA or other “non-
probate” assets

Assets not included in your will are called non-probate assets. Examples are 401(k)s, IRAs,
life insurance policies, joint real estate, and joint bank accounts. Designating SPHF as a
beneficiary can have a significant impact on our organization for years to come.
