How do I Volunteer..?

The Sonia Plotnick Health Fund has many fundraising events throughout the year. Volunteers are an integral part of our events.  Be one of the first six volunteers  to assist with any SPHF event  and get free admission!

Volunteerism benefits the Sonia Plotnick Fund but also benefits you. It provides a method to give back, social opportunities, and a way to meet people like you. It makes you feel good to do something for others.

For each of our events, we need your help in setting up, cleaning up and facilitating the flow of events. We also need help in preparing for these events and your valuable time will assist the Fund with preparing items to be mailed, making phone calls, and assisting on committees including fund raising, volunteer, marketing, networking and finance.  We are a small board and any and all offers are greatly appreciated.

What can you do if you own a business?

SPHF is always looking for venues to hold fund raising events.  If you would like to offer your club or restaurant, please contact us at SoniaPlotnickUpdates@Yahoo.com subject line:  (  fundraiser )

Additionally, at the majority of our fundraisers, including the dances, we like to offer prize baskets and event prizes. If you are a business and have:  gift cards, gift certificates for services or merchandise for our prize “baskets” you would like to donate for our events, please contact us at SoniaPlotnickUpdates@Yahoo.com subject heading : (donations ) .

Businesses who offer donations of their space for our  event venues  or raffle items will be provided with a reciprocal  link on our donate page.

Interested in being a board member?

The Sonia Plotnick Health Fund periodically recruits board members as we  like to keep our Board energized with new perspectives.   The Board typically meets once per month for 2-3 hours to consider the business of the board and to review grant applications.    Applicants will be sent  a  short questionaire to complete.  All applicants must have a background check completed ( at the expense of the Fund ) for eligibility and a one year minimum  commitment is required .   There are additional meetings held as needed to plan and execute our fund raising  events.
