Lynda Rodriguez, President

Lynda has been a board member of Sonia Plotnick Health Fund for five years.  She previously held the position of Fund Administrator.  She is a critical care nurse and understands the financial impact of health care on uninsured or underinsured women.  She has been active in women’s health issues and needs for the past thirty years.

Chicky Demarais, Secretary

Chicky has been a board member of the Sonia Plotnick Health Fund since 1998.  She is a psychiatric-mental  health nurse practioner who works with survivors of combat and sexual trauma.  She has been a strong advocate for women’s health for the past two decades, including serving as president of the Pensacola Chapter of the National Organization for Women prior to her move to the Tampa Bay Area in 1995. 

Lisa Cercek, Treasurer

Lisa has been a board member for three years.  She currently serves as Fund Administrator for the organization.  Her business expertise has helped the Fund form relationships with health care providers in the Tampa Bay area.  Lisa also raises money for the Fund and other charities through her “Roasts” throughout the year.  

Vanessa Brown, Director

Vanessa Brown, Director

Vanessa is an independent musician from Tampa and has worked extensively in the social services arena.  She holds a Masters of Social Work and has served as an adjunct Professor in the Masters of the Social Work Program for the University of Central Florida.  She has a strong administrative background in grant writing and management. Her talents will assist women in locating the resources for their health care needs.

Jen Funk, Director

Jen is a Florida transplant who is employed at Tropicana Field.  She is very interested in reaching out to women in need of health care and educating them as to the available resources.  She is a talented fundraiser and event planner.

 

Holly Sorensen, Director

Holly has been an active volunteer in Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organizations and has worked with the Emergency Services and Disaster Agency in West Chicago, Illinois.  She is and has been an energetic fundraiser for various church affiliations. Holly has also assisted in locating housing for individuals.  Holly is enthusiastic about assisting women with their health care needs.
